“There is c:\windows\services.exe running on pcs in our network which is undetected by Symantec Endpoint and disturbing users by poping up notepad.exe error messages. The ‘virus’ is creating arround 65000 temp files in users’ temp folder and adds Adoberd9.0.exe with adobe icon in the root folder of all drives ( HD partititons and flash)
I tried to disable this service from system configuration (by running msconfig ) but still it’s some how managing to exist. I am wondering why such viruses are not detected using updated and licenced versions of symantec. I had similar problem with W32/Voterai.worm (Odinga worm) last time but eventually Syamantec start to detect it as avirus, before that we were stopping the worm manually by editing the system configuaration and deleting the exe files created by the virus.”
So I guess we can check our registry for the entries with such annoyance.
Please, help me to remove “AdobeRd9.0.exe” and “scene.exe” threat from my computer.

Posted by Natty at August 26, 2008, 5:52 pmhow then do we remove this virus “AdobeRd9.0.exe” from our system. john Aduwu
Posted by John at January 25, 2009, 9:50 amTo remove this virus, install Avira Free Antivirus and scan all the drives in the system. This antivirus totally eliminates the virus from the system. And after cleaning the PC,perform a system restore to reverse the damage done by the virus.
Another antivirus that kills it is Eset NOD32,but its not free and its expensive to maintain.
